We are excited to share that Dr. Benjamin Huffman, Faculty Leader of the FIRE Global Development & Design (GDD) Stream, has been awarded a Do Good Campus Fund Grant. This grant will support the project titled "Mainstreaming Development Ethics - A Toolkit for Development Practitioners and Policy Makers."

With the funding, Dr. Huffman and the GDD students will work towards the operationalization of an interactive, open-access, online toolkit that activists in our community and professionals around the world can use to design social impact projects, where ethical development is mainstreamed into each stage of the design process. Central tools in this toolkit will utilize Artificial Intelligence (AI) with an emphasis on AI Ethics.

Through this project, GDD FIRE students will build skills in research, design thinking, and international collaboration. They will work to develop a digital toolkit that is innovative, efficient, and effective. The Do Good funding received will cover technology costs for hosting the toolkit online and support costs associated with creating a course centered around its use.

Congratulations to Dr. Huffman and FIRE GDD!
