OURS308: Peer Mentorship - Supporting Students Entering Research is a one-credit, half-term peer mentorship experience that will give undergraduate researchers a unique opportunity to further develop their leadership capacities while serving as peer mentors to students in the introductory course OURS100: Entering Research.

National Science Foundation - Research Experiences for Undergraduates

Run by universities, colleges, and research organizations throughout the United States, National Science Foundation Research Experiences for Undergraduates (NSF REUs) provide paid summer research opportunities to undergraduates in science, technology, engineering, and mathematical fields (including social, behavioral, and economic science fields).
This Zoom session for UMD undergraduates will feature:

an overview of these programs and information on locating and applying to programs running in summer 2025.

a panel of UMD students who have participated in NSF REUs.
To attend, please register in advance. We will not be recoding this event. If you cannot attend, slides presented at this event will be provided in the OUR Documents Archive.
Please note that the NSF limits eligibility for these programs to undergraduates who are US citizens, nationals, or permanent residents.
